03 Jul British School of Fashion hosts Luxury Update III
The third Luxury Update was once again held at the 5* ‘Me Hotel’ in London on June 13. This biannual industry networking event is organised and hosted by Tim Jackson, Director of the British School of Fashion at Glasgow Caledonian University London.
The event is primarily an industry network evening and some of the companies present included: Loro Piana, Dunhill, Agent Provocateur, Burberry, Hobbs, Bicester Village, Allect, Landsec, Financial Times and IBM.
In addition to the busy networking, guests experienced a 20-minute presentation by Tim who shared insights from the two most recent global luxury conferences (FT and CNI) which he attends and reviews as press. Themes included branding using AI and avatars, millennials’ spending behaviours, socially responsible business and sustainability.
MBA and MSc Luxury students once again helped host and manage the evening while also networking with guests and arranging internships (not to mention sampling the Grey Goose Vodka!)
