Ruth completed her PhD in 2007 from Manchester University. Her PhD research examined strategy planning processes relating to the development of eCommerce within fashion retail companies. Her current research interests include examination of selfies as a form of earned media within fashion marketing and, in addition, an exploration of luxury consumption amongst Middle Eastern females.
Ruth has published in academic journals including the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management. In addition, over the past 2 decades she has presented her research work at conferences including the British Academic of Management (BAM) and The European Institute of Retail and Services Studies (EIRASS).
Ruth has held a number of External Examinerships including at the University of Northumbria, University of Paisley, University of Westminster, Trinity College, Dublin, University of Glamorgan and currently, University of Bournemouth and University of West London.
